Electronics Technician – Laser Tag Equipment Maintenance

About the role

The Laser Tag Equipment Technician ensures that all laser‑tag hardware – from handheld phasers to arena sensors and charging stations – is fully operational, safe, and ready for customers. You will work in a dedicated workshop, performing repairs, calibrations, and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair laser‑tag equipment, including phasers, sensors, buttons, and charging stations.
• Diagnose faults in circuit boards, wiring, connectors and power systems.
• Replace defective components and perform soldering or desoldering as needed.
• Conduct functional testing and calibration after each repair.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts, tools and consumables.
• Record all maintenance activities, repairs performed and equipment status.
• Assist with arena setup, system configuration and firmware updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and respond promptly to equipment failures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electronics repair and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic components, wiring and testing equipment.
• Hands‑on experience with soldering and electronic assembly/disassembly.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and diagnostics.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
