Experienced Associate – Audit & Assurance (UAE Market)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Experienced Associate for its Audit & Assurance team, focusing on external audit engagements for the Jordanian Resources Center (JRC) serving the UAE market. The role involves building trust with stakeholders, delivering high‑quality audit services, and collaborating with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding service expectations and delivering high‑quality audit services.
• Adapt template referral instructions, define audit scope, and liaise with Centres of Excellence to ensure accurate information flow.
• Track deliverables from component auditors, link risks, controls, procedures and findings across the audit file.
• Prepare documentation anticipating reviewer questions and differentiate accounting judgments from audit judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond finance to apply professional scepticism and understand the client’s business.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of public audit experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• International accounting qualification desired (CA, ACCA, CPA – preferably CA).
• Fluent in English; bilingual Arabic/English candidates preferred.
• Willingness to travel to the UAE when needed.

Required skills

• Public auditing and accounting expertise.
• Ability to supervise staff, inspect financial records and compile audit reports.
• Strong planning and engagement management skills.
