Field and Operations Associate Consultant (Gaza Response)

About the role

IOM, a UN-related organization focused on migration, is recruiting a Field and Operations Associate consultant for its Gaza response. Reporting to the Senior Field and Operations Associate and working with relevant units, the consultant supports the coordination of field and data collection activities carried out by team leaders and enumerators, under the overall supervision of the Programme Coordinator (NPM) in Amman.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day work of field teams in Gaza and the West Bank, ensuring adherence to data collection protocols and data quality standards.
• Contribute to operational implementation plans and attend inter-agency and cluster coordination meetings, taking notes and helping prepare presentations on NPM methods and findings.
• Compile, verify and clean data, support its analysis, and ensure data processing and archiving follow data management standards.
• Provide field information for project design, concept notes, proposals and donor reports, and help organize trainings and workshops for field teams and partners.
• Prepare reports, briefing notes, dashboards and visual materials, and track project progress and expenditures against targets and timelines.
• Follow up on implementing partners' performance and compliance, and deploy with field teams during emergency operations.
• Help develop Standard Operating Procedures and apply IOM's data protection principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences with three years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma in social sciences with five years of relevant experience.
• Experience monitoring or coordinating field teams, preferably in complex emergencies or conflict-affected settings.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, oral and written, assessed during selection.
• Contextual knowledge of Gaza and the West Bank is an advantage.

Required skills

• Data management, verification, cleaning, quality control and analysis.
• Microsoft Office Suite and Google Earth; database and information management tools.
• Familiarity with mobile data collection platforms (KoBoToolbox or ODK) and GPS technologies is an advantage.
