Field Officer – Rihab (National Position)

About the role

The Field Officer will be based in Rihab, Jordan, and will coordinate the implementation of the RISE project activities aimed at improving livelihoods and preserving cultural heritage. The role requires close collaboration with local authorities, community stakeholders, and AVSI’s partner FPEC to ensure effective delivery of project components.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with local authorities, associations, and community leaders.
• Lead stakeholder mapping and engagement strategy, building strategic relationships.
• Coordinate with partner FPEC on beneficiary selection and implementation practices.
• Develop and monitor weekly/monthly activity plans and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Oversee the implementation of project activities, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
• Identify operational risks, propose corrective actions, and support risk mitigation.
• Supervise youth contractors involved in data collection and mapping of tangible and intangible heritage.

Required profile

• Residency in Rihab or ability to commute reliably to the site.
• Fluency in Arabic (language of instruction and community interaction).
• Experience in community engagement, stakeholder coordination, or field project implementation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight timelines.
