Health & Nutrition Coordinator – National (Aleppo/Damascus)

About the role

The Health & Nutrition Coordinator will lead the delivery of comprehensive primary health care and nutrition services for beneficiaries across Syria. Reporting to the Head of Office, the role works closely with technical advisors, partners and emergency programme teams to improve health outcomes and strengthen systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and oversee the establishment of an integrated nutrition component within existing service delivery points.
• Develop, review and monitor detailed implementation plans for health and nutrition projects, ensuring compliance with Save the Children strategies and donor guidelines.
• Review partners’ narrative and financial reports and prepare monthly BvA and award review meetings.
• Lead the preparation of high‑quality donor reports, tracking progress against project outputs.
• Coordinate with emergency programme teams to ensure an integrated approach and share lessons learned.
• Manage grant budgets, authorise expenditures and ensure compliance with donor and SCI financial regulations.
• Supervise and guide staff and partners to meet quality standards and project targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing health and nutrition programmes in humanitarian settings.
• Strong knowledge of primary health care, reproductive health, child health and nutrition interventions (MIYCN, IYCF‑E, CMAM, MAMI).
• Experience with donor reporting, budget management and grant compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple partners and coordinate across emergency teams.
• Level 3 child safeguarding clearance.
