Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

About the role

Sheraton is looking for a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor in Amman, Jordan, within its Housekeeping & Laundry category. The position is full time and non-management, and involves inspecting rooms and public areas after cleaning, running room reports and coordinating housekeeping with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritise cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management with daily activities and act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry.
• Document and resolve discrepant-room issues with the Front Desk, prepare and distribute room assignment changes, and brief the next shift.
• Help with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining and coaching staff, and follow company safety and security policies.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and maintain professional relationships with colleagues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (preferred).
• At least 1 year of related work experience (preferred).
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience (preferred).
• No license or certification required.

Required skills

• Physical ability to move objects up to 55 pounds, push and pull carts and machinery, and stand or sit for long periods.
• Use of computers and point-of-sale systems, and reading small print.
• Ability to perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
