In-Store Merchandiser – Frozen Food Products

About the role

The In-Store Merchandiser ensures that frozen food products are properly merchandised, available, visible and well presented across assigned retail outlets, following the approved visit schedule, merchandising standards and planograms. The role covers shelf availability, FIFO rotation, expiry monitoring, display quality and reporting of issues and sales opportunities to the Sales Team.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned outlets on the approved schedule, record visits and report missed visits or access issues to the supervisor.
• Arrange frozen products according to approved planograms and shelf layouts, keeping them organized, visible and appealing, with labels and packaging facing customers.
• Support promotions, special displays and in-store campaigns, and report unauthorized relocations, missing displays or deviations from planograms.
• Replenish shelves from backroom or freezer stock when permitted, and report out-of-stock, low-stock and recurring shortage items to the Sales Team.
• Apply FIFO, check expiry dates each visit and report products approaching expiry; separate expired or damaged goods and keep expiry risk records.
• Check that frozen products are stored under the required conditions, report freezer malfunctions or thawing/refreezing issues, and follow food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Report competitor activity, pricing, promotions and shelf-position changes, and escalate urgent issues affecting sales, quality or availability.
• Submit visit reports, photos and documentation, and communicate customer and outlet feedback to the Sales Representative.

Required profile

• High school; a diploma is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in retail or FMCG.
• Good connections with supermarkets in Jordan.

Required skills

• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic.
• CRM experience.
