Investment Specialist – IPSA‑10

About the role

The Investment Specialist (IPSA‑10) will support UNCDF’s mission to mobilise capital for SDG‑impactful investments in Jordan and the wider region. The role focuses on providing technical and financial advisory services to Member States and partners, designing blended‑financing solutions, and enhancing the investment readiness of development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted technical and financial advisory services to Member States on investment projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Design bespoke financial structuring solutions, including grants, loans and guarantees, to crowd‑in private capital.
• Undertake financial de‑risking and enhance investment readiness of SDG‑aligned projects.
• Collaborate with private sector, UN agencies, development finance institutions and philanthropic partners to mobilise and catalyse capital flows.
• Support the implementation of UNCDF’s blended‑financing platform and contribute to the Doha Programme of Action for least‑developed countries.

Required profile

• Relevant higher‑education degree in finance, economics, development studies or a related field.
• Proven experience in development finance, investment advisory or blended‑financing mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of SDG‑related investment frameworks and least‑developed country contexts.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
