Lifeguard – Resort Pool

About the role

We are seeking a vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at our resort pool located on Dead Sea Road in Sweimeh, Jordan. The role involves monitoring swimmers, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Observe the swimming area continuously and intervene using appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers are in distress.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations, and report unsafe conditions or activities to management.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, towels, and surrounding areas according to company procedures.
• Inspect equipment and tools for defects, and ensure all safety equipment is functional.
• Document accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions as required.
• Deliver courteous service, welcome guests, and assist individuals with disabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior lifeguarding experience required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb unassisted and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
