Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer in Sweimeh, Jordan, to patrol the property and protect guests and staff. The position is full-time and non-management, and involves monitoring security systems, responding to incidents and documenting events.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms and the fire life safety system
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections
• Respond to accidents, call EMS or give first aid/CPR, and assist guests and employees during emergencies
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons and report accidents, thefts and vehicle accidents to the scene
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries and daily activity reports, and investigate incidents and gather evidence
• Maintain confidentiality of reports and documents and follow company policies and safety training
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs and assist people with disabilities

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required
• Physical ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods, move quickly, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Some states may require additional licensing or registration
