Network & Security Engineer (Jordan)

About the role

IRIS Technology is seeking a Network & Security Engineer to join its technical team in Jordan. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise networking and cybersecurity solutions for a range of customers, working closely with presales, project managers, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain enterprise network and security architectures.
• Configure routing, switching, wireless, and firewall (NGFW) infrastructures.
• Implement VPN, endpoint protection, and other network security controls.
• Support presales activities with technical validation, solution design and proofs‑of‑concept.
• Perform installations, upgrades, troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
• Ensure network availability and compliance with security standards.
• Collaborate with vendors for solution validation and escalation.
• Produce technical documentation, network diagrams and implementation reports.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in networking and cybersecurity implementation.
• Experience in a system integrator, IT services or enterprise IT environment.
• Relevant certifications: mandatory Cisco CCNA; preferred Fortinet NSE/FCP, Cisco CCNP or other security certifications.

Required skills

• Enterprise routing & switching.
• Firewalls / NGFW (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba).
• VPN technologies.
• Network security architecture and endpoint protection.
• TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation abilities.
