Policy Consultant – Child Protection (Remote, 14 months)

About the role

This consultancy supports UNICEF’s Migration and Displacement Hub in advancing policy and advocacy for children and young people on the move, focusing on the PROSPECTS partnership programme during the final year of Phase II.

Key responsibilities

• Provide policy analysis, strategic advice and engagement in global policy forums to strengthen protection, opportunities and outcomes for displaced populations.
• Support achievement of key programme objectives for PROSPECTS Phase II.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in international human rights law, international relations, public policy, international development or related field (law degree preferred).
• At least 10 years of policy experience in international protection and migration at global level.
• Fluent English; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Required skills

• Demonstrated expertise in international protection, migration and displacement at global level.
• Strong knowledge of the Global Compact on Refugees and Global Compact on Migrants.
• Strong communication, writing and presentation skills; strategic thinking and critical analysis.
