Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the cost‑effective and timely acquisition of goods and services for Abdali Hospital. This role ensures compliance with internal policies, budget limits, and regulatory requirements while driving value and efficiency across all hospital departments.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, budget compliance, and prepare ITBs, ITTs, and RFQs.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor quotations to secure optimal pricing, quality, and contract terms.
• Maintain the approved vendor register, conduct supplier evaluations, and manage ongoing supplier relationships.
• Prepare purchase orders and contracts, track open orders, and resolve invoice or receiving discrepancies.
• Provide guidance to internal departments on procurement processes, market trends, and ensure all activities adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a purchasing, logistics, or supply‑chain environment.
• Professional purchaser accreditation preferred.
• References confirming confidentiality, compliance with policies, and conflict‑of‑interest standards.
