Projects Governance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Projects Governance Manager to design, implement and continuously improve a comprehensive project and program governance framework for our bank. The role will support strategic decision‑making by ensuring consistent project management practices, regulatory compliance and high‑quality reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a governance framework aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives, including policies, procedures, templates and standards.
• Assess the current project operating model, identify improvement opportunities and lead efficiency initiatives.
• Define governance procedures, create RACI matrices for key deliverables and monitor compliance across all projects and programs.
• Develop quality standards, conduct periodic compliance reviews and report findings to the Head of Enterprise PMO.
• Standardise project reporting, consolidate executive reports and create presentations for senior management.
• Establish and track KPIs for project performance, governance effectiveness and resource utilisation.
• Ensure governance artefacts meet regulatory requirements and implement risk mitigation controls.
• Participate in the selection and enhancement of project management and reporting tools, and deliver training to promote governance awareness.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Enterprise PMO and business units, supporting internal audit, finance and other corporate functions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in project governance, PMO operations or process improvement within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management in a financial environment.
• Proven ability to develop frameworks, standards and reporting structures.
• Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to interpret performance data and recommend corrective actions.
