Psychosocial Counselor (Clinical Support)

About the role

The Psychosocial Counselor provides essential psychosocial services to clients, including assessment, counseling, and follow‑up support. The role involves direct interaction with individuals and families, home visits, and coordination with other service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs.
• Develop and adjust individualized intervention plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions.
• Perform home visits, school visits, or other field visits as required.
• Refer clients to appropriate services and monitor follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate case records and update the database regularly.
• Answer helpline calls for families and children, delivering support according to protocol.
• Prepare monthly and annual reports for management.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Certificate of practice (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience, including at least one year working with children or women affected by violence or abuse.
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using standard computer applications for documentation and reporting.
