Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

The Purchasing Coordinator supports the hotel's food operations by managing inventory, processing invoices, and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries. This full‑time position works on‑site in Amman and reports to the food service manager.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs.
• Maintain organized records, file reports and invoices, and post invoices using computer programs.
• Conduct inventory audits, complete requisition forms, and notify supervisors of low stock levels.
• Verify and track received inventory, reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports, and generate inventory logs.
• Receive, unload, and process deliveries; reject damaged or incorrect items and manage returns.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee the return process.
• Follow food safety and handling policies, monitor PAR levels, and ensure compliance with quality‑assurance standards.
• Report accidents, complete safety training, and adhere to company policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and moving in confined spaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience in procurement, inventory, or food service.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
