Recreation Receptionist

About the role

The Recreation Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for guests using the property’s leisure facilities. You will provide information, register participants, and ensure a safe, enjoyable environment across pools, fitness centers, game rooms and children’s activity areas.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, answer inquiries and promote recreation services.
• Register, schedule and encourage participation in activities and private events.
• Explain and enforce safety rules and facility regulations.
• Monitor activities, respond to emergencies and assist injured guests until medical help arrives.
• Handle cash and process payments for rentals, activities and retail sales using point‑of‑sale systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facilities, equipment and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management.
• Support team communication and uphold company policies and appearance standards.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear, professional communication.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift items up to 25 lb (assistance for heavier loads).
• Awareness of safety procedures and capacity to act calmly in emergencies.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.

Required skills

• Operation of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
