Sales Support Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Sales Support Officer to assist our outdoor sales team by handling customer inquiries and ensuring smooth communication throughout the sales process. The role focuses on shipping and transport services, coordinating rates, offers and customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries promptly via in‑person, email or phone while the outdoor sales team is on visits.
• Obtain rates, prepare offers, send them to customers and follow up to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Coordinate with shipping lines and NVOCCs to negotiate and secure special rates on request.
• Promote and sell the company’s shipping and transport services by renegotiating rate offers with shipping line representatives and securing confirmations.
• Research competitor activities, new shipping routes, pricing structures and industry trends, providing actionable insights.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop accurate sales forecasts and identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of sales support experience in a shipping company.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in RORO, containers and forwarding is an advantage.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of CRM systems.
