Security Manager – Fixed Term (P-4) – Amman, Jordan

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Security Manager (P‑4) on a fixed‑term basis to lead security operations for its ECAMENA Regional Office in Amman, Jordan. The role supports UNICEF’s mission to protect children across a diverse region by ensuring safe and secure environments for staff and programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide authoritative security advice and analysis to the Regional Office and its Centre of Excellence.
• Deliver quality‑assurance oversight of security policies, procedures and risk‑mitigation measures.
• Support operational continuity by managing access, acceptance and emergency preparedness across the ECAMENA region.
• Coordinate with regional partners and authorities to address security challenges in high‑income, middle‑income, low‑income and fragile contexts.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in security management within an international or humanitarian setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work in complex, multi‑country environments.
