Senior External Audit – Audit & Assurance

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior professional to join its Audit & Assurance team in Jordan. You will lead external audit engagements, build trust with clients, and ensure high‑quality delivery across complex business environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding service expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services, applying regulatory and risk‑management knowledge.
• Prepare and adapt referral instructions, defining audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and link risks, controls, procedures, and findings.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and contribute to overall audit quality.
• Prepare documentation anticipating reviewer questions and distinguish accounting from auditing judgments.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to understand client expectations and industry statistics before engagements.
• Strong communication skills for effective liaison with global teams.
• Proactive approach to risk assessment and audit planning.
• Capability to develop relationships beyond the finance function to understand business context.
