Senior Finance Officer

About the role

Restoring Hope Society (RHS) is a Jordanian non‑profit delivering prosthetic, physical rehabilitation and psychosocial support to people affected by limb loss in conflict‑affected settings. As RHS expands its operations and donor portfolio, it seeks a Senior Finance Officer to strengthen financial management and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial transactions, bookkeeping and reconciliations.
• Prepare donor financial reports in line with grant agreements and donor requirements.
• Support budget preparation, monitoring and variance analysis across programmes.
• Ensure compliance with RHS financial policies, procurement rules and internal controls.
• Assist in audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Support cash‑flow planning and forecasting.
• Coordinate with programme teams on budget utilisation and financial planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (CPA/ACCA/CMA a plus).
• Minimum 5 years progressive finance experience, preferably in an INGO/NGO or donor‑funded environment.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance (USAID, ECHO, UN agencies or similar).
• Fluency in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• High attention to detail, integrity and ability to work under deadline pressure.

Required skills

• QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
• SAP (or comparable ERP system).
