Senior Psychosocial Counselor

About the role

The Senior Psychosocial Counselor provides comprehensive psychosocial services to clients, including assessment, counseling, and ongoing support. The role involves direct interaction with individuals and families, home visits, and coordination with other service providers to ensure effective intervention.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and required services.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with service objectives.
• Provide individual and group counseling and psychosocial support.
• Perform home visits, school visits, or other site visits as required by approved procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate intervention progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
• Refer clients to appropriate external services and follow up on referrals in coordination with program departments.
• Answer helpline calls (110) for families and children, delivering services according to protocol.
• Offer technical and procedural guidance to newly appointed counselors.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of case files, reports, and records.
• Prepare monthly and annual reports for the direct manager.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and organizational guidelines.

Required profile

• BA and Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
• Professional license in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, or Psychological Counseling.
• 5‑7 years of relevant experience, preferably with individuals with disabilities.
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Proven technical writing ability in both languages.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office software.
• Excellent communication, accuracy, and organizational skills.
