Smart Buildings / Technology Consultant

About the role

Join Dar, a global multidisciplinary consulting firm, as a Smart Buildings / Technology Consultant. You will support the design and integration of smart technologies across building and infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to control systems, IoT, and digital tools in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior staff in developing smart building schematics and IoT layouts.
• Conduct product research and compile technical data sheets for project use.
• Support the writing of strategy reports and drafting specifications for IoT devices, smart building/city platforms, and related technologies.
• Coordinate technology requirements with mechanical, electrical, ICT, transportation, and architectural teams.
• Participate in internal design reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Issue project deliverables following quality procedures.
• Use AutoCAD or Revit to create drafts and mark‑ups.
• Stay informed on industry trends and engage in internal learning initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, ICT, or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimal professional experience or internships in smart systems, building automation, or low‑voltage systems.
• Exposure to CAD/BIM platforms with a willingness to develop technical design skills.
• Demonstrated technical curiosity, attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and strong team collaboration.
