About the role
Almosafer is seeking a Specialist QA Backend Engineer to design and maintain automated tests for backend APIs, ensuring high‑quality releases within an Agile two‑week sprint cycle.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scenarios for backend/API testing using Java, REST Assured and Postman.
- Create detailed test plans, test cases and convert manual regression scenarios to automated tests.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimate testing effort and coordinate testing activities throughout the SDLC.
- Identify, troubleshoot, document and track bugs, performing functional and non‑functional testing.
Required profile
- 4+ years of solid experience in software testing.
- Strong proficiency in Java and hands‑on experience with REST Assured and Postman.
- Experience with Git command line, CI/CD pipelines and project tracking tools.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
