Waiter – Guest Service Expert

About the role

The Guest Service Expert (Waiter) creates memorable dining experiences for guests at the Sheraton hotel in Amman. You will be the front‑line host, ensuring food, drinks and service are delivered with professionalism and a smile.

Key responsibilities

• Set and arrange tables, maintain a clean dining environment.
• Communicate orders accurately with the kitchen and bar staff.
• Greet, serve and attend to guests throughout their meal.
• Handle menu inquiries, verify items visually and answer guest questions.
• Maintain work areas, clean supplies and equipment after service.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lb unaided (50 lb with assistance) and reaching overhead or below the knees.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret menus accurately.
• Strong interpersonal communication with guests and team members.
• Physical stamina for extended periods on feet and handling moderate loads.
