Waiter

About the role

Dough Union is looking for a waiter to welcome guests, take accurate orders and keep service attentive from arrival to payment. This is a full-time, on-site role in Amman, with positions at Swefieh Village and Khalda.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, present the menu and answer questions about dishes and ingredients.
• Take orders accurately and communicate clearly with the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages and check on guests throughout their visit.
• Respond to requests and concerns, involving the manager when needed.
• Prepare, clear and reset tables.
• Process payments and handle cash and receipts accurately.
• Keep service areas clean, organised and ready for guests.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Work with the team to keep service moving during busy periods.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with restaurant service and basic food preparation.
• Ability to manage several tasks and stand for extended periods.
• Basic math skills and accuracy when handling payments.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• A professional, respectful and reliable approach to work.
• Previous restaurant or café experience is an advantage; food safety and hygiene knowledge is preferred.
