Wash Attendant

About the role

The Wash Attendant is responsible for operating and monitoring the hotel’s laundry and dry‑cleaning equipment, ensuring all linens and garments are cleaned, inspected and returned to service efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate commercial washing, drying and dry‑cleaning machines, adding chemicals and setting appropriate cycles.
• Clean lint traps, dryer screens, filters and drain traps after each load.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on rewash, spot‑treatment, repair or discard.
• Inspect cleaned items for quality and place them in clean linen carts.
• Fold linens and garments by hand or using a folding machine to designated sizes.
• Maintain accurate records of items laundered.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and protect company assets.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or prior experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Comfort working in narrow, confined or elevated spaces and on uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Commitment to follow safety procedures, confidentiality policies and quality standards.

Required skills
