Wet Utilities Design Engineer

About the role

InSite is seeking a Wet Utilities Design Engineer to lead the planning, concept, and detailed design of large‑scale irrigation and potable water distribution networks for major landscape developments in Amman, Jordan. The role combines technical engineering expertise with an understanding of aesthetic and sustainability considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Design primary irrigation networks, including pump rooms, tie‑in points, sizing, layout, and equipment specifications.
• Develop integrated potable water distribution schemes for large‑scale landscape projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and guide junior staff through all design phases.
• Ensure designs comply with regional construction methods, codes, health & safety, and sustainability regulations.
• Produce technical documentation, presentations, and client‑facing reports.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in wet utilities or landscape irrigation design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional registration, licensure or chartership with an internationally recognised body.
• Deep knowledge of Middle Eastern and international utility standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to analyse complex documents.
