Application Support Engineer

About the role

The Application Support Engineer will ensure the smooth operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of software applications within the IT‑Applications Governance unit. Working closely with stakeholders, you will oversee the full application lifecycle and provide timely technical support to minimise business disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain software applications in line with governance policies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and align applications with objectives.
• Manage the application lifecycle, including testing, deployment, updates and security enhancements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot application issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance with IT governance standards.
• Coordinate integration of applications with existing IT systems and infrastructure.
• Advise on best practices and emerging technologies to improve functionality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in application development, management or IT governance.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and application management.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of IT governance and compliance standards.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and prioritize tasks.
