Area Sales Manager - Seeds

About the role

Syngenta Seeds, one of the world's largest seed developers and producers, is looking for an Area Sales Manager in Amman. The role covers sales targets, account management and coordination of marketing activities for the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales targets for assigned customers and create account strategies and implementation plans.
• Lead customers to business targets, review performance against KPIs and forecast and plan with customers while following account receivables.
• Coordinate area marketing activities for the Middle East, including market intelligence and MAPS updates.
• Identify and select potential customers according to company strategy, and expand relationships with existing customers by proposing solutions.
• Conduct annual performance reviews of accounts and areas, and turn learnings into future planning.
• Keep customers informed through portfolio meetings and act as the link between customers and internal teams.
• Manage customer agreements and contracts.

Required profile

• 10 years of sales management, development and marketing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in agriculture.
• Agribusiness experience; knowledge of vegetable seeds and the seeds business is mandatory.
• Experience delivering client-focused solutions and managing stakeholders' relationships.

• Grower, channel and influencer segmentation, account planning and pricing based on customer perceived value.
• Analytical thinking and market research to understand market dynamics and the value chain.
