About the role
The Guest Service Expert (Hostess) creates a memorable dining experience for hotel guests by delivering attentive, friendly service and ensuring smooth operations in the restaurant area.
Key responsibilities
- Set and arrange tables according to the restaurant layout and guest reservations.
- Communicate orders and special requests accurately with the kitchen staff.
- Greet, seat, and serve guests, responding to their needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, work stations, and service supplies.
- Handle guest transactions and billing while upholding service standards.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 25 lb unaided (50 lb with assistance).
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Less than one year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification needed.
