Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer will protect guests, employees and property at the Amman Marriott Hotel. This full‑time position involves patrolling the premises, monitoring security systems, responding to incidents and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the hotel and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Handle guest or employee disturbances, defuse conflicts and call for external assistance when needed.
• Complete incident, shift‑summary and daily activity reports while maintaining confidentiality.
• Escort unwelcome persons, investigate incidents, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.
• Support emergency procedures, assist individuals with disabilities and uphold hotel service standards.

Required profile

• Physical stamina to stand, walk or run for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unaided.
• Ability to read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain professional appearance.
• Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to company policies.
