Policy & Programme Analyst

About the role

The Policy & Programme Analyst will support the Strategy & Business Development Team of the UNDP Jordan Country Office in shaping programme pipelines, building partnerships and mobilising resources to advance UNDP’s development objectives across governance, social cohesion, environmental sustainability and socio‑economic inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of programme strategies aligned with national development priorities and UNDP goals.
• Conduct policy analysis and provide technical input to support government initiatives and UNDP’s governance and social cohesion agenda.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with public, private and civil‑society stakeholders to enhance programme impact.
• Support financing for development activities, including resource mobilisation and donor engagement.
• Coordinate with programme units to ensure synergy, efficient use of resources and effective delivery of results.
• Contribute to monitoring, reporting and knowledge‑sharing on programme performance.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in public policy, international development, economics or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, programme design or development cooperation.
• Strong understanding of UNDP’s strategic framework and Sustainable Development Goals.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and across sectors.
