Safety Officer

About the role

The Safety Officer ensures the safety and security of guests, employees, and property at the Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel. This full‑time position involves proactive patrols, monitoring of security systems, and rapid response to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the hotel and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Assist guests and staff during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• Document all incidents, complete shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of reports.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Escort unwelcome persons and report vehicle accidents or thefts.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or run for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Clear, professional communication skills in English.
• Commitment to follow company policies, safety training, and confidentiality standards.
• Willingness to support team goals and maintain a professional appearance.
