Senior Accountant (temporary 1 year)

About the role

Ferring Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Accountant on a one‑year fixed‑term contract to support its global finance operations. You will ensure accurate financial transaction recording, manage month‑end close activities, and collaborate with internal teams and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with financial recording standards, including general ledger, cash payments/collections, and tax transactions.
• Control and reconcile balance‑sheet, P&L, bank accounts, and intercompany balances.
• Prepare internal and external accounting reports, consolidate financial statements, and produce cash‑flow and budget reports.
• Execute cost accounting, budget preparation, variance analysis, and allocation of direct/indirect costs.
• Coordinate with external audit teams and manage audit documentation.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, invoice management, vendor queries, and supplier master data.
• Handle month‑end closing, journal entries, GL adjustments, and accruals using Coupa and Blackline.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to manage large projects with limited supervision.
• Experience coaching junior staff and delegating tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset to solve complex financial problems.
