Senior Governance & Internal Controls Specialist

About the role

ECOVIS Arab International Bureau is seeking a Senior Governance & Internal Controls Specialist to strengthen its advisory practice. The professional will combine deep governance knowledge with solid accounting and financial reporting experience to support a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement corporate governance frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Develop organizational structures and delegation of authority matrices.
• Support governance, audit and advisory engagements across multiple clients.
• Collaborate closely with clients to deliver practical, effective solutions.
• Contribute to the development of the firm’s governance advisory services.
• Assess and enhance internal control systems and risk management frameworks.
• Prepare professional reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in governance, internal controls and risk management.
• Strong background in accounting, financial reporting and IFRS.
• Excellent command of Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
