Senior PreSales Engineer – IT Infrastructure Systems

About the role

The Senior PreSales Engineer – IT Infrastructure Systems will design and deliver end‑to‑end technical solutions for enterprise compute, storage, hyper‑converged infrastructure, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery and hybrid cloud integration. The role works closely with sales, account managers, OEMs and value‑added distributors to translate customer requirements into scalable, high‑availability architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to provide full technical presales support and achieve enterprise sales targets.
• Gather and analyse customer technical and business requirements and design cost‑effective, high‑availability infrastructure solutions.
• Lead the preparation of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, including discovery workshops, sizing, Bill‑of‑Materials generation and compliance matrices.
• Design, coordinate and oversee Proof‑of‑Concept activities, benchmarking and technical demonstrations.
• Maintain strong relationships with IT infrastructure OEMs and local VADs to secure special pricing and fast quotation cycles.
• Collaborate with product managers and OEM channel teams to identify market opportunities and generate new leads.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure presales or solution architecture.
• Deep knowledge of datacenter architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity and storage topology design.
• Proven consultative, value‑based technical selling skills and experience engaging with IT managers, CTOs and CIOs.
• Established professional relationships with OEMs and VADs in Saudi Arabia and a strong understanding of the Saudi IT market.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

• Virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Red Hat OpenShift, Microsoft Hyper‑V, Citrix).
• Backup and disaster recovery technologies (Veeam, Cohesity, Rubrik, Commvault, Dell Data Domain, Veritas, HPE Zerto).
• Hybrid and multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, local Saudi cloud providers).
