Senior Quality Control Engineer – Software Testing

About the role

The Senior Quality Control Engineer will ensure that software products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Reporting to the QA Lead, you will work closely with development, QC and business teams to design, execute and automate comprehensive test suites.

Key responsibilities

• Execute functional, smoke, regression, integration, performance, cross‑browser, cross‑platform and API tests according to test plans.
• Report, track and verify bugs using a DevOps‑based tracking system.
• Design, develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks, leveraging tools such as Selenium WebDriver.
• Create detailed, well‑structured test cases and review those authored by junior team members.
• Document test results, user manuals and other project artefacts.
• Participate in full software development life‑cycle activities, including UAT and performance testing.
• Mentor junior QC engineers, assign tasks and guide them on best practices.
• Identify root causes of quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, IT or equivalent experience.
• Professional testing certification such as ISTQB‑CTFL or ISTQB‑CTAL.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Selenium WebDriver for test automation.
• Automation scripting and framework development.
• API testing and performance testing techniques.
• Knowledge of testing phases: functional, regression, integration, end‑to‑end.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
