AI-Powered Item Writer (Test Content Designer)

About the role

Trilogy is recruiting, through its partner Crossover, an AI-powered item writer to design test content for standardized education tests such as SAT, ACT and entrance exams. The work uses generative AI to write prompts that produce personalized, rigorous questions, and to build AI-first rubrics that evaluate them. It is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position based in Amman, Jordan, requiring an independent contractor agreement with Crossover.

Key responsibilities

• Design AI prompts that generate test questions aligned with defined educational standards
• Create rubrics with AI to evaluate the depth and alignment of the test content
• Improve test content through an iterative process so assessments remain challenging and high quality
• Use AI for every task, while engineers handle the technical implementation

Required profile

• University degree (BA, BS, MS or PhD) in any field
• Experience creating content for standardized education tests (SAT, ACT, entrance exams, etc.)
• User-centric approach and ability to judge content for appropriateness, accuracy and relevance

Required skills

• Experience with generative AI, especially crafting complex prompts with techniques such as few-shot, zero-shot, chain of thought and self-consistency

What we offer

• Compensation of $50 USD per hour, paid weekly
