Artificial Intelligence Engineer – Senior AI Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior AI Engineer to design, develop and deliver production‑grade artificial‑intelligence solutions for KPMG’s Middle East clients. The role combines strong software‑engineering discipline with expertise in generative AI and large language models within an enterprise Microsoft environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and ship AI applications, conversational agents and automation, owning the full lifecycle from concept to production support.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code following best practices such as modular design, code reviews, version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop LLM‑powered features using retrieval‑augmented generation, prompt engineering, function/tool calling and agent orchestration.
• Integrate AI solutions with Microsoft 365, Power Platform and other enterprise systems via REST APIs, connectors and event‑driven workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify high‑value AI use cases and translate requirements into technical designs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and continuously improve deployed solutions for reliability, latency, cost and output quality.
• Ensure compliance with KPMG security, data‑privacy and responsible‑AI governance standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to reusable components and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a software engineer who has transitioned into applied AI, preferably at a senior level.
• Familiarity with enterprise Microsoft environments and cloud‑based AI services.
