Assistant Laundry Manager

About the role

The Assistant Laundry Manager supports daily laundry operations at a luxury hotel, ensuring inventory accuracy, equipment safety, and high‑quality linen service for all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Complete inventory of uniforms and linens and conduct monthly inventory of laundry supplies.
• Report faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to management.
• Train employees on laundry procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Verify that laundry requests are fulfilled for each department as needed.
• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery, inspecting linens for damage.
• Assist management with hiring, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating staff.
• Follow company safety, security, and confidentiality policies and complete required training.
• Maintain professional appearance of uniforms and protect company assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related laundry work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Laundry equipment operation (washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machines).
• Inventory management of uniforms and linens.
