Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the restaurant team in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth daily operations. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, this role balances service quality, staff coordination, and operational efficiency in a busy hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front‑of‑house staff, ensuring teamwork, proper grooming, and adherence to uniform standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setup of supplies, equipment cleaning, and securing the premises.
• Monitor dining room flow, seating availability, safety, and guest satisfaction.
• Conduct inventory checks, manage stock levels, and requisition supplies as needed.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and report any incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant restaurant or food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work extended periods standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lb.
