Backend Drupal Developer (5 Years Experience)

About the role

A company is looking for a skilled Backend Drupal Developer with 5 years of experience designing, developing, integrating and maintaining secure and scalable Drupal-based digital platforms. The role covers custom module development, API integrations and database management, with a focus on high-performance, reliable and maintainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom Drupal modules, entities, plugins, services and APIs.
• Build and maintain REST/JSON:API integrations with internal and external systems.
• Design content models, workflows, permissions and configuration management.
• Optimize application performance, caching, database queries and reliability.
• Apply secure coding practices, access controls and Drupal security updates.
• Write automated tests, review code and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, release processes, technical documentation and incident resolution.

Required profile

• 5 years of experience with Drupal custom development, Composer and Drush.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON:API, authentication and system integrations.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases, Git and modern development workflows.
• Understanding of web security, performance optimization and testing.
• Ability to analyze requirements, solve problems and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Strong PHP, object-oriented programming and Drupal architecture.
• Drupal 10/11, Symfony components and headless Drupal.
• Docker, cloud environments, CI/CD and observability tools.
• Familiarity with accessibility and enterprise application standards.
