Calibration Supervisor

About the role

Dar Al Dawa is seeking an experienced Calibration Supervisor to lead calibration activities for measuring and monitoring equipment used in pharmaceutical production. The role ensures that all instruments meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and perform calibration of tablet presses, punches, dies and other measuring instruments.
• Prepare, update and monitor monthly calibration schedules.
• Review and approve calibration reports and internal certificates.
• Supervise the calibration team and resolve technical or maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with external calibration service providers and equipment suppliers.
• Validate calibration certificates for reference/master instruments from external labs.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and calibration documentation.
• Support employee training on new calibration equipment and procedures.
• Manage spare‑part and maintenance requirements for measuring equipment.
• Monitor deviations, maintenance activities and related records.
• Prepare periodic reports on calibration performance and department achievements.
• Conduct risk assessments for all calibration items and generate purchase and receiving requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in calibration activities.
• Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English.
• Strong knowledge of ICH, GMP, GLP, WHO guidelines and ISO/IEC 17025.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and analytical abilities.
• Experience with quality management, compliance, risk assessment and project management.
