Credit Review Supervisor - Private Banking & Cyprus

About the role

The Bank is looking for an experienced Credit Review Supervisor to lead credit review activities for Private Banking clients and the Cyprus branch. You will ensure robust credit assessment, efficient workflow management and strict compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily credit review operations, allocate workflow, set priorities and monitor turnaround times.
• Review credit studies, assessments and recommendations for accuracy, completeness and sound judgment.
• Approve, recommend or escalate credit applications, including complex and high‑risk cases, within delegated authority.
• Conduct comprehensive creditworthiness assessments, analysing cash‑flows, debt‑burden ratios and overall risk profiles.
• Oversee restructuring, rescheduling, settlement and post‑disbursement reviews.
• Monitor portfolio quality, exceptions, productivity and operational risk indicators, escalating significant findings.
• Coordinate with Relationship Managers, Risk, Branches and other departments to resolve complex credit matters.
• Identify workflow gaps, support digital transformation initiatives and contribute to policy and process enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• 5–10 years of banking credit experience, preferably in Credit Analysis, Review or Underwriting.
• Proven ability to assess complex individual and corporate credit cases, including private‑banking and non‑standard facilities.
• Experience with structured financing, collateral‑backed facilities is an advantage.
• Strong financial and credit analysis, risk assessment and decision‑making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and team‑leadership skills.
• Professional certifications in Credit Analysis, Financial Analysis or Risk Management are a plus.
