Finance Director - Middle East and Africa (MEA)

About the role

MS Pharma, a pharmaceutical company developing, manufacturing and distributing generic and biosimilar medicines, is looking for a Finance Director for its Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The role reports directly to the Group CFO and leads all financial operations, accounting compliance and financial performance across multiple plants and countries. It also leads a Finance Team, including Plant Finance, the Accounting Function and Commercial Finance Business Partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with regional and corporate goals, and provide financial leadership to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
• Oversee FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, and monitor key financial metrics.
• Direct the Plant Controller and work with plant finance teams to optimise cost structures and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, and develop risk management policies.
• Act as financial advisor to the MEA business team and regional leaders, and prepare financial reports for senior management and corporate finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting or business administration; MBA highly preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA or CFA highly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years in financial leadership, including at least 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry (pharma preferred) in a multinational environment.
• Experience managing multi-site financial operations across countries and leading a large finance team.

Required skills

• Expertise in financial planning, forecasting and analysis, and strong knowledge of cost management and plant controlling.
• Demonstrated experience in FP&A, IFRS accounting and internal controls.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Strong pharmaceutical business acumen, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
