Senior Accountant & Financial Analyst

About the role

The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records and reporting for the business unit, while supporting effective working‑capital management and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Review and validate accounting entries, accruals, provisions and journal entries for IFRS compliance.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations, monitor key accounts (AR, AP, inventory, intercompany) and resolve discrepancies.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital optimisation and liaise with Treasury.
• Oversee inventory and fixed‑asset accounting, including valuations, write‑offs and capital‑expenditure tracking.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements and audit readiness.
• Provide financial analysis for budgeting, forecasting and profitability improvement projects.
• Supervise and develop junior accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA) preferred.
• 7‑10 years of relevant experience, including 2‑3 years in a senior or supervisory accounting role.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or distribution environments is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and numerical skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and group accounting policies.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP or Oracle.
• Expertise in balance‑sheet management, reconciliations and working‑capital monitoring.
• Inventory accounting, cost accounting and fixed‑asset management.
