Financial Planning & Reporting Officer

About the role

This role covers the planning, monitoring and reporting of operating and capital expenditure budgets. It includes approving daily OPEX and CAPEX requests, controlling spending, reconciling accounts, analysing variances and supporting management and board presentations.

Key responsibilities

• Validate, review and approve day-to-day OPEX and CAPEX requests in line with approved budgets, financial policies and authorization limits.
• Monitor budget utilization, identify potential overruns and ensure timely corrective action; manage budget reallocation and coordinate with business units.
• Maintain the Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) tracking log to ensure accurate spending.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of OPEX and CAPEX against the General Ledger, investigate discrepancies and coordinate adjustments.
• Review monthly financial results, run variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year, and prepare business explanations and recommendations.
• Support periodic forecasts, assist in preparing and consolidating the annual budget, and prepare budget control reports, dashboards and management presentations.
• Support quarterly and annual Board and Management Committee presentations with financial analysis and key performance highlights.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, budget governance and corporate procedures, and carry out other duties assigned by the Direct Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Limited experience (2-5 years) in a related field.
• Good knowledge of the telecommunication industry and a strong business sense.
• Excellent command of English, speaking and writing.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent data analysis skills.
