Freelance Full-Stack Web App Developer (AI Pilot)

About the role

Mindrift is seeking experienced full‑stack developers to work on the Tendem project, building interactive browser‑based applications in a hybrid AI‑human environment. The role, called an AI Pilot, is part‑time, remote, and focused on delivering robust, production‑ready web products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop full‑stack web applications using modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue or similar) and backend APIs (Python with FastAPI/Flask or Node with Express).
• Create and manage data models, schemas, and persistence layers with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite) or NoSQL stores.
• Implement authentication, session handling, and role‑based access controls where required.
• Integrate third‑party services and AI/LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic into product features.
• Handle state management, input validation, error handling, and loading states for a smooth user experience.
• Develop standalone Python tools and scripts for data processing or lightweight backend utilities.
• Review AI‑generated code, refactor for security, performance, and maintainability, and write clear, testable code.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of hands‑on full‑stack development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently across frontend, backend, databases, and APIs.
• Ability to transform AI‑assisted output into production‑ready solutions.
