Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Officer

About the role

The Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Officer will provide technical and implementation support for the NASHMIA project, which aims to empower women entrepreneurs – including refugees and women with disabilities – to participate in Jordan’s green economy. The role is based in Amman and reports to the Project Director.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver regular technical assistance and implementation support for the NASHMIA project.
• Support the empowerment of women‑led climate micro‑enterprises through market and policy assessments, targeted training and digital tools.
• Help reduce gender‑specific barriers by facilitating coworking spaces, networking opportunities, targeted grants and awareness campaigns.
• Collaborate with project partners (EcoConsult, Arcan Impact, Seedstars, Arab Women Organization) to ensure gender‑responsive project delivery.
• Monitor and report on progress toward project objectives related to women’s economic advancement.

Required profile

• Strong passion for gender equality and women’s economic empowerment.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Experience working on gender equality, social inclusion, or women‑focused development initiatives.
• Ability to work in Jordan and engage with diverse stakeholder groups, including refugees and persons with disabilities.
